LITTLE HAS BEEN KNOWN ABOUT THE POPULATION IN THE PAST. HOMELAND SECURITY ISSUED THE FIRST REPORT ON VISA OVERSTAYS IN JANUARY 2016.

BUT ANALYZING SPECIFIC VISA CATEGORIES SHOWS A BIG INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO OVERSTAYED THEIR VISA FROM 2015 TO 2016.
