UK CHANCELLOR PHILLIP HAMMOND ADMITS GRENFELL TOWER CLADDING WAS BANNED

Grenfell Tower is owned by the local government and is similar to other large public housing around the country.
London is governed by 32 separate borough councils, which are independently elected and separate from Mr Khan's office and the national government.
Mr Hammond said investigations would determine why the supposedly banned panels were installed on a residential building, and who was responsible for the decision.
